Projekt Arting 2013 "energia jutro"

HUBA - an off-road shelter with an independent energy system

HUBA - an off-road shelter with an independent energy system

arting main prize

The compact field shelter project was created with the aim of developing tourist mountain regions, expanding their infrastructure and promoting the use of renewable energy. Guided by the principles of sustainable design, Huba uses the natural climatic resources of the mountains: wind and water. The form is inspired by traditional regional architecture. The design is modular, facilitating maintenance and reprocessing of used elements. The shelter is made of wood, and the insulation is wood shavings obtained from trees that have been blown down by the wind. The energy module is attached to the wooden part - it is made of rotationally molded plastic and tightly closed. The whole thing is equipped with a vertical wind turbine that is effective in these conditions. Access to water is provided by collected and filtered rainwater. The interior of the building was designed with equal attention, where there are 4 places to rest, a washbasin and a radiator, and the lighting is provided by slim windows and an LED strip. It is also possible to use an external shower. The project would certainly be warmly welcomed by tourists, considering a number of aspects that have been thought through in it
