COOLGARDE - city refrigerator

COOLGARDIE is a city fridge - an object related to the Foodsharing movement, which involves sharing unnecessary food with those who do not have enough of it. Unlike existing solutions powered by electricity, the project uses the phenomenon of adiabatic cooling, i.e. evaporative cooling. A natural fabric immersed in a container of water is stretched over the wooden frame of the object, surrounded by a metal mesh. As the fabric dries and evaporates, it cools the inside of the refrigerator.
