Szybownik is a mobile application that was created as part of the arting 2020 "heritage" project competition. The aim of the application is to present the history of gliding, and in particular the SZD gliding experimental plants in Bielsko-Biała.

The app offers users access to an encyclopedia of gliding, which contains information about the designers, the history of the plant and the structures that were built there. In addition, the app allows you to have fun by browsing glider models and even try your hand at building your own glider. The models you create can then be tested in a flight simulator or printed in 3D.

The glider also has a built-in messenger that allows users to contact each other and discuss gliding. The app also aims to connect with people who worked in the plants and can pass on their knowledge to the next generation.

The application is aimed mainly at younger recipients, but it will certainly also interest gliding enthusiasts, modelers and people interested in history.
