Projekt Arting 2020 "dziedzictwo"

OPALKA

OPALKA

The OPALKA seat was inspired by the traditional craft of knitting opal. Knitted opals were a shallow basket with a round or oval plan with two handles. Opals were knitted from unpeeled and peeled wicker. Opals were used to transport crops (such as potatoes), carry hay and various materials (wood, clay). In this project, traditional craftsmanship is transferred to the modern era.
