PIRATE glider simulator
A flight simulator based on a real glider, the S-30 Pirat. It was built by students of the Technical and Trade School Complex in Bielsko-Biała for the Technical Innovation Olympics about 3 years ago.
Simulator features:
- Equipped with Arduino and other electronics.
- Has all working on-board instruments.
- The Arduino Leonardo is responsible for the controls, airbrake and instruments.
- Game data is transmitted to stepper motors, which show the appropriate parameters.
- The air brake has a special spring that simulates air resistance during flight.
- The glider on which the simulator was based crashed near the Żar airport.
